What is Oakley Prizm Golf?
Oakley Prizm Golf is a golf-specific lens built to enhance color and contrast to help you read the course better spotting transitions between the fairway, rough, and hazards. Plus they’re also designed to help highlight your ball in any terrain.

Are they worth it?
Prizm lenses are definitely better than your standard polarized or non-polarized lenses. And the contrast-enhancing on the golf course is absolutely noticeable.
We tried these lenses out on 18 holes and found it much easier to spot the ball in the air and the rough. Let’s face it, you usually don’t have trouble finding your ball in the fairway. But if you golf like our 4-some, then finding the fairway is also rare. And we’ll take every opportunity to lose less golf balls in a round.
Overall we’d highly recommend Prizm Golf lenses for any semi-serious or serious golfer as you’ll really appreciate how they’re built for the game!
What color are Prizm Golf lenses?
Currently, both Prizm Golf and Dark Golf lenses have a rose base color. Rose/Amber tints have been proven to be the best Golf tints since they easily highlight the ball.
Usually both lenses appear to be a rose/amber color. But depending on the lighting this can change. Prizm Golf can appear to be more of a green/purple tint in sunny conditions, whereas Dark Golf appears more rose or amber.
Prizm Golf vs. Prizm GolfDark
As their names suggest Prizm Dark Golf is the darker version of the popular Prizm Golf lens. The Dark Golf lens is approximately 25% darker than Prizm Golf, reducing the VLT (Visual Light Transmission) from 30% to 22%.
Overall, we’d recommend Prizm Golf for a normal cloudy day like you’d find in the north half of the US. Whereas Prizm Dark Golf is better for bright sunny conditions like you’d find in the middle of summer or in the south.
