This is NOT a KOSHER recipe, no offense to anyone who eats Kosher.

This recipe looks delicious! Easy to customize in so many ways..sorry to see some of the negativity but the joke is on some of the reviewers about the bacon..I’m not 100 percent sure but pretty sure that bacon bits are made of soy so no problems there if you are kosher!

Thank you so much, Lori! You are right! This recipe like most of my recipes is completely adjustable to one’s taste and preference.

It’s quite unfortunate to read these negative comments. Recipes are open to adjustments, so is attitude. Anna, this a great idea for Passover as well as an option to use up all that left over matzoh.

Agree 100%, Nadia! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave feedback! Appreciate it!

Looks to me people can’t read as it says this is not a kosher dish. I guess haters will always be haters love to see some of their food. Nobody has the right to criticize anyone that cooks and feeds their family healthy
Keep up the great work AnnaCrafty Cooking by Anna April 30, 2019 at 5:11 pm Reply
Thank you, Beatrice! This is such a customizable recipe. It was not meant to offend anyone’s religious customs. Not all Jews eat Kosher and this recipe is completely acceptable for Passover or if you have leftover matzah.

Alba, had you read it thoroughly, you would have seen that turkey bacon or omission thereof is an alternative. The writer was very specific about kashrut and pesach.

Thank you, Barbara! I was trying not to offend anyone and create a recipe that everyone can enjoy, kosher or not. You can easily remove the “offensive” ingredient from this recipe.

First of all you can’t mix milk and meat. No regular bacon or turkey bacon. No bacon at all on anything or with anything. It is NOT KOSHER.

Rose, this is NOT a Kosher recipe and I tried to make it clear! It is a customizable to personal preference recipe like many others that I post. The “1 Star” rating hurt this delicious recipe and prevents it for others to Pin and save it. I think religious people who eat Kosher should follow the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. I think God cares more if we are nice to each other than the food that we have on our plate!

Hello!! I just found my way to your site today, and am I happy!!! I absolutely LOVED these mato nachos!! Such a creative, beautiful and not to mention, yummy dish!! A friend had a store, and when he went out of business, gave me a lot of things, including a lot of boxes of matzo. It’s all plain, but this was still great with it!! I don’t really like bacon, had some soy sprinkles, everything else the same. It was so fun and unusual. Everyone just loved it. Not your ordinary nacho. Thank you so much!! BTW, I’m an Anna too!!

Dearest Rose , I am Jewish and love all Anna’s recipes, perhaps if you would have read the entire explanation and different variations of this great recipe , you would not have come to the conclusions which you did. Anna is not a kosher food blogger, nor she claims to be. I am extremely disappointed that you give someone a 1 star rating for a recipe which you completely misunderstood!

Thank you so much, dear Adina! Appreciate you taking the time to leave a feedback! Stay Safe!

Even turkey bacon isn’t kosher with cheese! No meat and dairy together!
Alba April 5, 2018 at 5:55 pm Reply
Bacon bits? In a Passover dish?? Time to review Kosher 101.
Crafty Cooking by Anna April 6, 2018 at 4:44 am Reply
Alba, you can use Turkey Bacon! 🙂
j April 24, 2019 at 6:41 pm Reply
using meat and dairy together is just simply not acceptable – turkey bacon or real bacon really doesn’t matter here.
Crafty Cooking by Anna April 24, 2019 at 7:21 pm Reply
Hi Jane, please read the recipe, I have clearly said: “This is NOT a KOSHER recipe!”. Simply remove the “offensive” ingredient(s) and enjoy the rest of the recipe!

Do you know how to read? It plainly says it is t kosher. I don’t keep kosher but would not use bacon bits during the holiday. The recipe does say you can omit the bacon. Stop criticizing and read the facts.
