How much are Grifols paying for new donors? ›

Could I donate my compensation to a charity? Your time and effort are worth a lot to us, and even more to the patients you help. Donors typically receive $50 to $90 per donation, and that money is put on a debit card that you can use for yourself, your family, or to donate to a charity of your choice.

Individuals who test positive for HIV, Hepatitis B, or Hepatitis C are immediately referred to a physician or clinic for formal medical diagnostic testing and treatment. They are also permanently deferred and excluded from donating plasma and are added to the National Donor Deferral Registry.

You'll answer a few questions about your health history and places you've traveled, during a private and confidential interview. You'll tell us about any prescription and/or over the counter medications that may be in your system. We'll check your temperature, pulse, blood pressure and hemoglobin level.

Those diagnosed with a serious or chronic illness–like high blood pressure, epilepsy, HIV/AIDS, or a primary immunodeficiency (PI)–are not eligible to donate plasma. Those who have high blood pressure would need to be tested to see what their current blood pressure is at the time of donating.

Some people can make $900 by donating plasma. This is usually only possible for first-time donors who receive new donor bonus offers or those who donate multiple times a month.

CSL Plasma stands out for its first-time donor bonuses. New donors at CSL Plasma can expect an average of $70 per donation, with potential earnings of up to $400 per month. ImmunoTek Bio Centers also offers a significant bonus for new donors, with payments reaching up to $400 for initial donations.

Biomat USA's exact donor compensation varies by location, but it generally pays $150 to $300 per month for regular plasma donations. You'll earn somewhere between $40 and $75 for each donation.

Avoid fatty foods, such as a hamburger, fries or ice cream. Drink plenty of water before the donation. Check to see if any medications you are taking or recently took would prevent you from donating. For example, if you are a platelet donor, you must not take aspirin for two days prior to donating.

A qualified donor can donate plasma twice in every 7 days period at the most. You will receive up to $70 per donation.

Arm Inspection

Next, the screening staff member inspects your arm. They are checking for rashes, plaques, and vein issues that may make it difficult to donate.
