- Fallout TV show star explains how they removed The Ghoul’s nose
"Everyone else was looking at my nose."
Fallout star Walton Goggins has explained how they removed his character The Ghoul's nose.
The actor takes on the role of the mutated gunslinger (aka Cooper Howard) in the newly-released Prime Video show, which is based on the video game series.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, the actor revealed that he wore a special piece on his face during filming, which "might have taken [other actors] out of their story".

“It’s so weird because I didn’t take that into consideration, but everyone else was looking at my nose. I wasn’t, I didn’t really think about it," Goggins recalled.
The actor described how "the piece was designed so it went up to your nose" and "they just put white dots, just tracking dots", admitting: "I think blue might have taken people out of their story."
Co-star Ella Purnell (Lucy MacLean) joked: “It didn’t make you any less terrifying, no offence."
"When I read the script, The Ghoul's face was described as a 'melted candle', and I could not picture what that would look like in my head," she added.
"I mean, I had a reference from the games, but seeing you in person for the first time, it’s freaky.
"Because obviously, I can see your eyes, I know it’s Walton, but it’s still alien. It was creepy. It was kinda scary."

Goggins also spoke to DS about comparisons between Fallout and fellow game adaptation The Last of Us, admitting it was "giving [him] a panic attack".
Fellow star Aaron Clifton Moten (Maximus) further suggested "there's a lot of weight" in putting the two shows in the same bracket, though he thinks that "comes from our love, care, and respect for the material".
Fallout is available now on Prime Video in the US and at 2am on April 11 in the UK.
